What?
The Camera Obscura (Latin for ‘dark room’; literally ‘darkened chamber’) was created to compile a visual reference of all things related to photography.
Why?
I’m a second year photography student and computer graphics graduate. I’m constantly finding interesting links about photography and related art forms. Instead of just bookmarking them, I wanted to create a searchable database where all of the information could be easily accessed. This serves as a great platform for storing information and as a place to be inspired.
Who?
You will find information about photography, photographers and anything related to this field. There will be photo collections from the masters of photography over the past decades, upcoming talent, biographies, interviews, quotes, tutorials, links, product releases, and so much more.
Where?
I decided to use Tumblr for this project because I love the functionality and flexibility. I love how you can ‘Like’ posts and that it’s so easy to reblog ones that are of interest to you. It also allows the upload of a variety of media types.
When?
Now. Enjoy! Be inspired. Shoot.
